The Uptown neighborhood of Grand Rapids is full of entrepreneurs. There aren’t a lot of big name businesses out here. It’s full of people who have pushed forward with their own dreams to create something for themselves and the public. These people have opened coffee shops, restaurants, salons, retail shops, design studios, the list goes on and on. These businesses have shaped the community and the way we interact our daily lives.

I find it incredibly inspiring to walk in this area of Grand Rapids and see how many people have taken on personal struggles to follow their heart. These people have grit and community support from people that appreciates small business.

I was hired by Five Star Real Estate to paint a mural on the north side of a small office in Uptown. I couldn’t think of anything better than this message.
